About You and Me Playgroup

You and Me Playgroup has been providing a welcoming, happy and safe environment for pre-school children to learn, play and develop for almost 25 years (established September 1985).

Our aim is to encourage children to learn, gain confidence, self-esteem, become socially aware and to develop the ability to express themselves in a caring and friendly environment.

You and Me, operates from the main hall within St Mary Magdalens Catholic Church Hall in Highfield Approach, Ipswich, Suffolk. Children access the main hall for indoor activities and access an enclosed play area behind the hall for outdoor activities. The provision is registered by Ofsted on the Early Years Register. A maximum of 26 children in the early years age group may attend the playgroup at any one time, none of whom may be under two years. The playgroup provides funded early education for three and four year olds, and has recently gained funding for some two year olds. The staff support children who have special educational needs and / or disabilities and there are strategies in place to support any children who are learning English as an additional language.

You and Me is a registered charity and is managed by a Committee of parents. We welcome parents to join the Committee in order to help us manage and develop You and Me.

Ofsted monitors our Playgroup, its learning environment and curriculum.

Opening times

"You and Me operates 38 weeks per year. We are open four days a week, five sessions per week. We offer two sessions on a Wednesday. Children are able to stay for a packed lunch on that day. Please speak to a member of staff to book your child's place"
